It is said that Daniel lives an increasingly hermit-like existence in the hamlet in which he lives. The Daily Mail reported that locals occasionally see him riding around the mountain roads on his racing bicycle, or arriving at his local pub, The Roundwood Inn, on one of his collection of motorbikes.
